Around 2022, Mopar discontinued the OEM bolts for the 2.4L engine used in the Neon SRT-4, PT Cruiser and other 2.4L Chrysler engines from the 90's and early 2000's.

We worked with ARP to make this custom kit that replaces all of the 20 bolts used to secure the bedplate to the block.

Not only are these reusable, and far stronger (ARP2000 Inner Studs/ARP 8740 Outer Studs), but we are also using much larger and wider 5/8 wrenching 12 point nuts to help spread the load better.

All of these ARP bolts, nuts, and washers are made in the USA.

ARP assembly lube is included.

Please note: because studs can apply force on the bedplate differently than regular bolts, the bedplate can change bearing clearances with studs. So, we recommend having a machine shop at minimum check the clearances, but we recommend a line hone, or line bore be done after installation of the studs to make sure proper bearing clearances are set.

Because some of you have asked us for just the outer studs since you have crankshaft strap kits, we have separated this kit out into two options. 1) Only outer studs with nuts and 2) Complete kit with outer and inner studs. Choose which kit you want in the pull down menu.
